The Half Hollow Hills High School West girls tennis team continued its hot streak on Oct. 2 as the Colts (5-3) took down Commack (4-3) in a League I rematch. Earlier this season, on Sept. 23, the Cougars were able to edge Hills West 4-3, but this time – as the two met for the second and last time this season – the Colts came out on top via the same score.

Next up for Hills West was a trip to Smithtown East (2-5) on Monday, but the match occurred after press time. Also, on Wednesday, the Colts closed out League I regular season play when it welcomed the then-undefeated Hills East (7-0) – a team that had already defeated Hills West when they first met on Sept. 17.
