Obituary listings for the Town of Huntington.

Betty Hoffman

Betty W. Hoffman, a resident of Northport, died Dec. 8. She was 85.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., she went on to become an educator with the Northport-East Northport School District; she’d since retired.

She is survived by her husband, Franklin D. Hoffman; his children, David J. Hoffman and his wife Pat, and Marion Webb Kirk and her husband Bruce; sister, Martha Webb Delano; and her grandchildren, Adam Wesley Frank and Christopher Thomas Hoffman.

Arrangements were made by Nolan & Taylor-Howe Funeral Home in Northport on Dec. 13. A funeral service followed that day at the funeral home with Robert R. Schoepflin officiating.

Memorial contributions in her name can be made to Abiding Presence Lutheran Church at 4 Trescott Path, Fort Salonga, NY 11768.

Joseph Bellero

Joseph R. Bellero, a resident of Melville, died Dec. 19. He was 74.

Born in Corona, N.Y., he was the beloved husband of Mary for over 52 years.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael and his wife Renee, Kimberly and her husband Michael O’Connor, and Tara and her husband Joseph Bruno; and his grandchildren Christina, Ryan, Thomas, Christopher, Michael and Nico. He was predeceased by his grandson Patrick.

Arrangements were made by M. A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington Station on Monday. A funeral service was held on Tuesday at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Melville.

Catherine Hoffman

Catherine M. Hoffman, a resident of Melville, died Dec. 8. She was 70.

Formerly of East Williston, N.Y. and Huntington, she is survived by her children Matthew (Avery), Sean (Helen) and Colleen; her siblings, Joan O’Beirne and Richard Cassidy; and her grandchildren, Ruby and Finnean.

Arrangements were made by A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home in Huntington Station on Dec. 10. A funeral service was held the next day at the St. Patrick R.C. Church in Huntington with a private cremation after at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches, N.Y.
