The “sport swap” is coming back to the Dix Hills Ice Rink.

Councilwoman Susan Berland announced on Monday that she’s once again teamed up with the Huntington Youth Council to bring back the swap to Dix Hills.

From March 9-20, any Town of Huntington residents with gently-used hockey, figure skating, baseball, lacrosse and soccer equipment are welcome to come down to the ice rink and drop the equipment off in exchange for a voucher per item donated. Then, on March 21 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., those residents with vouchers are welcomed back to the ice rink to shop, swap and socialize. Even those without a voucher can participate by donating $5 for each item purchased.
