My name is Andrew J. Wroblewski and I’m an associate editor for Long Islander News, a weekly publication based out of Huntington, N.Y.
I graduated from Hofstra University in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism after my four-year career there where I managed a 3.36 overall grade point average. During my time at Hofstra, I served as a staff writer for the school’s student-run newspaper, the Hofstra Chronicle, which ultimately begun my foray into the field of journalism.
From there, I had a stint with Newsday.com as an intern through the summer of 2013 where I contributed several news stories that appeared on Newsday.com and were even featured in print editions of the paper.
Currently, I serve in Huntington, N.Y. as an associate editor for Long Islander News — a publication which I originally started work for as an intern in February 2014, transitioned into part-time work, and was eventually offered a full-time position following my graduation from Hofstra.
